Do you want to grow your coaching business? Here’s a little trick that people don’t do.
As a funnel strategist and business mentor, I’ve realized there’s one thing coaches and consultants rarely do: they don’t continually look at other people in their industry and model what they’re doing!
People go to coaches because they want to learn how to grow their businesses.
They go to someone who’s done it before, who’s living the life that they want and have done it in the way that they dreamed, but they don’t learn from what others are doing.
In the end, it’s up to you to learn from other people and put other strategies in place.
What do you need to do?
Ask yourself: when someone in the industry who’s similar to you has a freebie, why not sign up for it?
It’s not prying – you’re actually learning! There’s a lot you can learn to grow your coaching business if you look at other people.
SPOILER ALERT: This is not about copying what they do, but this practice can help you to:
- Find other ways that people are growing their Facebook Group and friends list
- Research how they are creating content
- Learn about their strategies
- Determine their gaps and, once you’ve done that, create a process or a strategy to bridge that gap in your business

Follow other people who are similar to you, learn, and implement what they’re doing in a way that works for you.
Don’t copy it exactly, but model what you’re seeing them have success with and adopt it for your business.
Questions you need to ask to make your coaching business grow:
If you really like someone from the industry, sign up for their freebies, buy their offers and see how they deliver the asset, see how they deliver the course. Think about:
- The customer journey. What was it like?
- How did you feel when you bought the offer?
- What was it in the copy that made you sign up?
- What is the service like after you purchased it?
- How did they deliver their course?
- How did they upsell you on to the next offer?
Of course, a coach can give you the strategy to grow your coaching business, that’s what we do, but it’s up to you to learn how to implement that. It’s up to you to learn from other people and put other strategies in place.
No one coach is going to give you the silver bullet, you have to be able to find ways that work for you and implement them in your business

So go out there, do some research, bridge that gap, and you’ll see your coaching business take off.
